Last Friday the wife revved up the barf count. We were doing a little Friday afternoon errand-running and she let it fly. First was in the restroom of Target at the Prairie Center in Brighton.

Next, we were just a few blocks down the road at Kohls. Also in the restroom. Not me. But her. With the puking.

So we finally stumbled home. She still didn't feel too good and let the chunks rumble 3 more times.

Places My Wife has Puked
My wife is pregnant. If this is anything like her first pregnancy, she'll be puking all over the place...again. This blog chronicles those adventures.

A Little Behind
Got to catch up. The wife decided to blow some chunks in the safeway parking lot. Not really a big deal.

Doing the 5 Spot
Yesterday was a rough one for the wife. She's been blue around the gills for several days now, but no signs of eruptions have surfaced. Until today. She had her usual Thursday morning blood work done at the doc's office, and I guess the excitement was too much for her. She only made it about a mile before she had to pull over to jettison her gutsy cargo. It all went down on the on-ramp to eastbound e470 from Dillon Road in Lafayette.

2fer Friday with some Sympathy Thrown In
Last Friday (June 3), the wife and I reported to University Hospital in Denver at 5:45am for my neck surgery (that's another story). We were taken into the pre-op area about 6:15am where the various nurses and doctors stripped me of my clothes, poked me several times with sharp pointy needles, then proceeded to tell me the awful things they were planning on doing to me. At any rate... About the time they were getting ready to fill my arm full of "sedative" (quotes because it knocked me straight on my ass in about 15 seconds), Dayna got the funny ripply queesy look on her face and ran for the pre-op restroom. Then again. So twice.

Now the sympathy part where I come on stage for a guest appearance. The docs decided that I was doing well enough that I didn't need to stay the night in the hospital as planned. So they were sending me home. Kicking me to the curb. I was feeling *mostly* good coming out of anesthesia. But if any of you dear readers have ever had general anesthesia you know the going can be rough. And you're insanely thirsty as well. So the nurse offered me some juice. I chose cranberry. I knew to take it slow. Little tiny sips. By the time I'd gathered myself up, taken inventory of my senses, and got bundled in the car for the ride home I'd only sipped maybe 2 ounces. But the stirring was starting and I wasn't feeling good at all. So, yes, I blew my juice. Fortunately the nurses had included a handy puking bag for my comfort (and the comfort of those around me). It was one small isolated event. So I'm happy for that. Some nausea meds from the pregnant wife when I got home and all was good.

Fourfer Friday
Last Friday, the wife had a hard time of it. She barfed all over the greater Brighton Metropolitan area. Which isn't very big. At any rate, she left a trail of hurl all over the downtown area of Brighton.
The first was in the middle of the intersection of 4th Ave. and Bridge St. She was waiting at the stoplight. She throw open her door and let her lunch fly.

The second event was in the parking lot of our veterinarian. We had to take Diesel the Pimp Kitty to see the vet. He got out one night a few weeks back, got into a fight, got his leg bit, and has been limping ever since. One antibiotic shot, $150, and he's pimin' and limpin' like old times.

The third event was on the way home from the vet. The wife had just turned onto 8th Ave. off of Bridge, St. She yanked over to the curb and had her technicolor yawn.

The fourth and final event has when she dropped me back at the office. She went flying in, all Phoebe style, to the office bathroom. Which led a couple of people to come outside to see what the commotion was. This broke the northern barrier. She christened Weld County with her chunks. 4 was enough.

The Interstate Conjecture
This is only conjecture as far as location goes. The wife DID puke. But I'm not certain of the location...yet. My guess is based on the fact the she, and the biological mother of the baby she's carrying, were in Littleton, near the clinic that did the in vitro fertilization. The up-chuck happened somewhere on a highway. That's the best information I can get.

Boring #2
May 18 is historic in that it was the day Mt. St. Helens blew her top. It happened again though this time it was my wife blowing chunks. Upchuck 2 was boring though. It was at the house again. But...at least this was in the upstairs bathroom. So at least she mixed it up a little.
